Hall in Tirol/ Luxembourg. Prof. Dr. Mario Kern was awarded with his „Smallest Revolution in the World” with a Red Dot Award - Honourable Mention. This year only 6 % of 4,218 entries from 48 countries were awarded a Red Dot, making an achievement in the Red Dot Award: Design Concept an outstanding feat of accomplishment.
Red Dot stands for belonging to the best in design and business. The international design competition, the “Red Dot Design Award”, is aimed at all those who would like to distinguish their business activities through design. The distinction is based on the principle of selection and presentation. Excellent design is selected by competent expert juries in the areas of product design, communication design, and design concepts.
In 2005, the award recognised the need to identify and celebrate new design concept and innovation, the precursor of tomorrow’s great product. Believing a design concept must be evaluated based on its design merit without prejudice, the award created a unprecedented platform that accept entries from companies to design students.
Red Dot Award: Design Concept searches good designed inventions, novel concepts and ready-to-launch products that are not in the market from around the globe every year.
